Preston Court is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue near Canterbury, Kent, known for its vintage charm, working carousel, and lakeside island ceremony space.

Our event team are incredible – you only need to read our Google reviews to see this.

It’s perfect for couples searching for a romantic countryside barn wedding with a quirky, elegant twist.

We recommend booking 12–18 months ahead, especially for summer weekends. Both Preston Court and The Wilderness are highly sought-after Kent wedding venues, and dates fill quickly.

The Reality: The Carousel is included in all of our wedding package and it is the crown jewel.

Actually, it’s the opposite.

Our Moated Island ceremony is designed to be immersive. By having some of the guests seated across the water, we create a “natural amphitheater” effect.

Guests have a perfect, unobstructed view of the couple, and our high-end sound system ensures every “I do” is heard clearly. It’s consistently rated by guests as the most memorable ceremony they’ve ever attended.

The Reality: We don’t “restrict” choice; we guarantee quality.

We partner with a curated selection of Kent’s finest caterers who know our 17th-century barn’s logistics inside and out.

From formal three-course silver service to relaxed “festival style” street food, our partners offer more variety than most standalone venues.  There is a big variation in menu prices to suit all pockets.

Using our partners means zero “logistical nightmares” with power, water, or timing on your day.

If you are looking for a specialist caterer for cultural or other personal reasons we will always consider them.

The Reality: While we love a bit of whimsy, our venue is a “blank canvas with character.”

We’ve hosted everything from black-tie traditional weddings to minimalist modern celebrations.

Our 12th-century Saxon church offers the height of tradition, while our Oak Barn provides a rustic warmth that suits any colour palette.

You bring the vision; we provide the soul.
