The Kentish Barn
Oak beams, Kentish hops, fairy lights & musical organs..
Story of The Barn
Every corner of Preston Court is wonder-filled and this includes the Kentish Barn.
The Steam Museum has used this barn to display its incredible steam engines for more than 30 years and in summer this space is transformed into a magical place to get married and then enjoy a feast for up to 126 people.
This simple but enchanting building is a great space for weddings, christenings, birthdays, small festivals, movie nights and even dance competitions. In the past we have hosted corporate team building or away-day meetings, film production, country fairs, drum circles, yoga, you name it.
If you visit in winter you will likely see the magnificent ‘Vanguard’ Steam engine parked inside.
